It's a draw
If Kentucky's Governors Scholars are any indication, this year's governor's race should be a doozy.
In a recent mock election held at three campuses across the state, Republican Gov. Ernie Fletcher and Democrat Steve Beshear ended up just where they started -- in a dead heat.
After 787 students cast votes, both Fletcher and Beshear had 47.65 percent of the vote, according to Secretary of State Trey Grayson.
Beshear did the best at Bellarmine University in Louisville, where he is expected to run very strong.
And Fletcher did best at Morehead State University, the most rural campus where voting took place. Fletcher is expected to run best in rural areas.
