New Online Services

During Secretary Grayson's tenure, the Office of the Secretary of State has launched dozens of new online services and enhancements.  Many of those online services are dedicated to improving the business climate in Kentucky.

The Office of the Secretary of State now provides online images for all business documents filed with the office.  This change has dramatically reduced the volume of calls into the office requesting access to documents and has reduced the amount of postage and other materials needed to provide these documents to constituents.  Visitors can now access digital images of all documents filed in the office since 1999 and more images are added to the database daily.  By and large, these advancements represent important savings to taxpayers as well as a dramatic shift in how business is conducted. 

For the first time, constituents can access more than 40 business certificates straight from the Office of the Secretary of State website.  These are available 24 hours a day/365 days a year.  No more waiting! 

Business entities registered in the Commonwealth of Kentucky can now obtain their annual reports with a single click of a mouse on the Kentucky Secretary of State’s website.   Additionally, if they choose to file their report online, they will find some new and improved services awaiting them.

The new online filing system is designed to address the individual needs and sporatic schedules of Kentucky businesses.   The online report includes generated and compiled information about the company's previous filings, saving the company the redundancy of entering the same information every year.  One of the latest features of the online filing system is the option to save the report for completion at a later time.  Furthermore, there is now no limit to the number of officers, directors, or shareholders that can be entered. 

The Office recently made popular business forms available online for the first time.  For example, reinstatement packets for organizations that have been administratively dissolved as well as a Statement of Change of Registered Agent/Office and a Statement of Change of Principal Office are now easily accessible.  Citizens may view and print these services by utilizing the Office of the Secretary of State’s website.
