Fee Schedule |

The fees for filing UCC records in the Office of the Secretary of State beginning July 1, 2001 are as follows:
$10 for all written financing statements, amendments, and correction statements
$5 for all electronic financing statements and amendments
$20 for all written financing statements, amendments, and correction statements over two pages
$5 for certified search results
10 cents per page for copies of UCC records
$5 per certificate per file number for certified copies
50 cents per page for copies accompanying certificate

Methods of Payment |

Filing fees and fees for copies may be paid by the following methods:
Cash and Checks: Please make checks payable to the Kentucky State Treasurer
Electronic Funds Transfer: while not yet available, the Secretary of State has specified this method in the rules to allow it when it becomes available for the state in the future.
Prepaid Accounts: a remitter may open an account by submitting an application and prepaying a minimum of $250. The Secretary of State will issue an account number to the applicant and to each authorized representative of the applicant.
Debit and Credit Cards: The Secretary of State will accept payment by debit cards and credit cards issued by approved issuers.

Overpayment & Underpayment |

Overpayment: The Office of the Secretary of State will refund the amount of an overpayment.
Underpayment: The Office of the Secretary of State will refuse and return the filing for insufficient fee.

Search Fees |
|
There is a fee of $5.00 for a certified search and 10 cents per page for copies of UCC records.
UCC Search Reports: A search report issued by the Secretary of State will include the following information:
identification of the filing officer and the certification by the filing officer of the search results;
the date the report was generated;
identification of the named searched;
the certification date and time for which the search is effective;
identification of each active initial financing statement filed on or prior to the certification date and time corresponding to the search criteria, by name of debtor, by identification number, and by file date and time;
a listing of all related UCC records filed on or prior to the certification date for each initial financing statement on the report; and
copies of all UCC records revealed by the search and requested by the searcher.
